November 11, 2024 SCinet Applications Volunteer WINS Share this page: Twitter Facebook LinkedIn Email By Dominik Wojtak The Women in IT Networking at SC (WINS) program invites applications from female candidates in their early to mid-career stages to join the SCinet volunteer team at the SC25 Conference in St. Louis, November 16–21, 2025. The program aims to support gender diversity in IT, specifically in network engineering and high-performance computing (HPC), by bringing together women from varied backgrounds and organizations each year. What is WINS? Founded in 2015, WINS addresses the gender gap in IT by providing opportunities for women to gain hands-on experience in network engineering and related fields. The program is a collaboration between: Energy Sciences Network (ESnet) at the Department of Energy (DoE) Indiana University Santa Fe Indian School University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR) Funding for WINS comes directly from ESnet and additional project supporters, with past support from the National Science Foundation (NSF grants 164098, 144064, 2331094). SCinet is a multi-terabit-per-second network designed, constructed, and operated each year by expert volunteers from academia, government, and industry. It powers the groundbreaking demonstrations that define the SC Conference.
